The ACG Story
ACG Texas, LP was born on July 27, 2004 when Joe Katin sold his 35 IHOP restaurants and exclusive development rights to ACG Texas, LP. ACG acquired the IHOP Restaurants with the goal to Own and operate 100 IHOP Restaurants by the end of 2010. ACG Texas,LP is IHOP's largest franchisee. At the end of 2007 ACG had grown to 52 restaurants. All of us at ACG are excited about the future of the IHOP brand and continue to plan and build more restaurants each year.
The IHOP Story
The International House of Pancakes was founded in 1958 by Jerry Lapin and his brother Al Lapin, Jr. The first restaurant opened on July 7, 1958, in Toluca Lake, California.
IHOP restaurants feature moderately priced, high-quality food and beverages with table service in an attractive comfortable atmosphere. Although IHOP is best known for its award winning pancakes, omelets and other breakfast specialties IHOP offers a broad array of high quality lunch, dinner and snack items as well.
As of September 30, 2007, there were 1328 IHOP restaurants located in 49 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada and Mexico. 99% of all IHOP Restaurants are franchised. IHOP is headquartered in Glendale, California. For more information http://www.ihop.com/
